Silverado Sunday

Image from SBS (Sunday 30 August 2009)

ChinnyPea says:

"Yippeeyaiyeah! Finally! Something that I'd want to rip off your person and have for myself!

Still no sign of those reach-the-sky necklines but oh, that shiny silver! How it matches your hair! I love! I've been telling my hairdresser that I want my hair colour exactly like yours when I grow up.
What is that little disc that I spy on your sleeve, Lee Lin?"

ChinnyEm says:

"OH MY GOD. THIS IS PROOF YOU'VE BEEN READING OUR BLOG! BABY, YOU'VE STEPPED IT UP. I am so happy that I can't even be bothered telling you you've forgotten to put on a weird collar. INTERGALACTIC CHINNY- I LIKE!

Red For Luck?

Image from SBS (Saturday 29 August 2009)

ChinnyPea says:

"Oh, Lee Lin, our darlin'! Have you Googled yourself lately and found our little bog-shrine devoted to worshipping you and the clothes you wear?! And therefore wearing a spot of red today to wish us luck?!
Love the colour on you but a regular collar over another regular collar? Come on! Where are those almost neck-ruffy numbers that you used to wear? That we know and love? Bring them back! Soon!
Love the darts on the front of the jacket, though! Yes! Where are those those darty folded and madly-pleated pieces? Please bring them back too!"

ChinnyEm says:
"Step one in your interesting outfits rehab: bright colours. YAY! BABY STEPS!
Although this is a tiny bit of a step up from last week, I am still disappointed. I mean, look at the man on your left. He is basically wearing what you are...!!! That is crazy. YOU are not supposed to look like anyone else on this planet! Chinny, I just want to give you a good shake. I'm sure there are many sculptural jackets in this world just waiting for you to showcase. Please do so."

Just a bad weekend?

Image from SBS(Sunday 23 August 2009)
ChinnyEm says: "This is definitely an improvement from yesterday. Still not you at your personal best but 'OH!' the lace inserts and white buttons save your jacket from mediocrity. The Harry Potter glasses are cute too. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the big heavy looking shell earrings. And they match your jacket. Hohoh. you are a smart cookie. Just PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the crazy next weekend. Maybe you need ChinnyPea to make a bespoke piece to compliment what you are wearing. Yes? No? Maybe? How will your biggest fans be able to sleep at night if you don't bring back the original crazy jackets?"

ChinnyPea says:
"Come on, Chinster! What's up with the wardrobe this weekend, man?! You know that I don't do black...small girls like us shouldn't do black. The angular white lace "inserts" on your shoulders are a good touch, though. Almost like a couple of random lit windows of a building at night.

And yes, the glasses. ChinnyEm says "Harry Potter" but I think the are more Lennon-esque. Do you like the Beatles? You seem like someone who might.
And yes, anytime you need a bespoke neckpiece, give me a holler. Can we please see more colours and wackiness next weekend? Pretty, please?"

The First Official Worship At The Shrine

Image from SBS(Saturday 22 August 2009)

ChinnyPea says:
"Lee Lin, oh, Lee Lin! Where are all the usual skyscrapers around your neck?!

I was just saying to ChinnyEm the other day that I hope you'll wear something super out-of-this-world for our maiden post and all we got was an inky blue Nehru-collar number?

But you know what? It's alright. Everyone has their off-days. We still love you! See you tomorrow! Same time, same channel! Kiss-kiss!"

ChinnyEm says:
"Lee Lin! What is this? What IS THIS? I am in agreement with ChinnyPea here. Where is the sculpture? The INTEREST. You know I will always love you, but you have a name to live up to. YOUR NAME.
I do however like your glasses and for now, I will get by by assuming you are wearing the Sydney Opera House around your bottom."
